Healing Heart HintSweet potatoes are not related to white potatoes. Persons with allergies to white potatoes can eat sweet potatoes or yams, which contain beta-carotene, an antioxidant known to fight cancer. For a snack treat, slice sweet potatoes, sprinkle with cinnamon or other spices and bake in a medium oven until crispy.
