Kwik Kookies

An amazingly quick and simple fat free treat


1 can fruit (peaches, pears, plums, mixed fruits, etc.)
1 C rolled oats
2 C whole wheat flour
1 C sugar (or any substitute suitable for baking)
1 T baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 F. Liquify drained fruit in blender to a smooth paste. In a large bowl, mix fruit with remaining ingredients. Drop on a non-stick cookie sheet Bake for 12 minutes.

24 servings, each 79.5 calories:�� 4% from fat (0.41 g),� 86% from carbohydrates (17.9 g),� 10% from protein (2.0 g).� Sodium 37.7 mg,� Fiber 1.5 g.


Healing Heart Hint:

The cookies have an old-fashioned soft sugar cookie feel. Adding a � t of vanilla extract, various flavorings or any favorite spices can produce unlimted varieties, limited only by your imagination. Try them with a small amount of ginger and/or cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg or other spices.
